Larry Hirsh, CRE, MAI, SGA, FRICS
Founder and President
Golf Property Analysts was established in 1988 by founder and president Laurence A. Hirsh. A member of the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) and the Appraisal Institute (MAI) as well as a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Mr. Hirsh has distinguished himself and his firm as a leading provider of high quality consulting and appraisal services to the golf course industry. He is a graduate of Penn State University and has served as past president of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and the Society of Golf Appraisers (SGA).
Mr. Hirsh has amassed considerable experience in the valuation and analysis of a wide variety of income and special use properties as well as having been active as a principal in the development of office, recreational and retail properties and as a broker on selected occasions. He holds general appraisal certification in 11 states and real estate brokerage licenses in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, Delaware, Virginia and Florida. Hirsh has provided appraisal, consulting and brokerage services across the United States and Canada, has lectured at seminars and universities and has frequently served as an expert witness or litigation support consultant in several golf property related matters. He is also a widely published author on the topic of golf property valuation and economic matters in both professional and industry publications.
A lifelong golfer who maintains a single-digit handicap, Hirsh has visited and played many of the world's great golf courses, been involved in development and brokerage of golf course properties and has competed in many local, state and regional championships. He is also a Golfweek Magazine Course Rating Panelist.
The father of three children, Hirsh is also active in his community having served on several charitable organization boards and participating in many fundraising activities. A licensed commercial pilot and certified flight instructor, he also often donates his time to fly "Angelflight" missions in the northeastern US.

Shaun A. Henry
Certified Appraiser and Licensed Real Estate Agent
Shaun A. Henry, former golf course superintendent, joined Golf Property Analysts in 2005 bringing his golf course agronomic and management experience to the field of golf course appraisal and consulting to enhance the professional services of the firm.
In addition to being a certified appraiser and licensed real estate agent, Henry is a graduate of Delaware Valley College with a Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy and Environmental Science and a 16-year member of The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America with a Golf Course Development Specialization.
Mr. Henry has over 17 years of golf course industry experience with stints at several upscale clubs including Wilmington Country Club, Huntingdon Valley Country Club and Congressional Country Club where he served as Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. His professional highlights include being part of the team that hosted the 1997 US Open and overseeing and managing construction and grow-in of a new upscale, member owned golf club designed by Hurdzan-Fry Golf Course Design.
Wyoming Valley Country Club, a private, A. W. Tillinghast designed golf course in Wilkes-Barre, PA, recruited Mr. Henry to direct golf course operations in 1998. He was responsible for maintenance of the 18-hole golf course as well as upgrading agronomic programs, equipment, staff, and maintenance facilities. During his tenure at Wyoming Valley Country Club, Mr. Henry worked closely with the Greens Committee and Board of Directors to complete many renovation projects including, bunker reconstruction, conversion to bentgrass fairways, pond reconstruction and a tree management program.
While serving as Construction and Grow-in Superintendent at Wren Dale Golf Club near Hershey, PA, Mr. Henry served as the owner's representative for all aspects of construction and grow-in of the Championship, Hurdzan-Fry designed golf course. His responsibilities at Wren Dale included, coordinating the efforts of owners, architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors and staff. Mr. Henry also instituted an extensive quality control program, assembled a professional golf course maintenance team, introduced maintenance standard guidelines, and developed a detailed grow-in budget and equipment acquisition plan.
Henry brings these and other experiences to the field of golf course appraisal and consulting to enhance the professional services of Golf Property Analysts for its many clients.
Having trained many golf course superintendents over the years, Henry receives great satisfaction in continuing to mentor these industry professionals. He also volunteers at major golf events as well as community service projects, is a GCSAA education instructor and frequently authors articles for industry publications.
Outside of golf, Henry enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. He is an avid snowmobile enthusiast, frequenting the Adirondacks as well as treks through Canada, Northern Michigan, Wisconsin, Montana and Wyoming.

Mac Harris
Real Estate Broker
Mac Harris, a native Tar Heel based in Arapahoe, North Carolina, with a background in journalism and real estate, joined Golf Property Analysts in 1993, and as a real estate broker and state certified general appraiser has provided appraisal, consulting and brokerage services throughout the United States for a wide variety of assignments. He enjoys reading, writing, boating, fishing, cooking, and the company of his children and dogs.

Rachel B. Thompson
Assistant Appraiser
Rachel joined Golf Property Analysts in 1999 as the office manager. Rachel has been an assistant appraiser with the firm since 2005 and is working towards her appraisal state certification. In addition, Rachel also assists with marketing efforts for the firm.
Prior to joining GPA, Rachel worked with a golf investment group based in Baltimore, MD that owned daily fee, semi-private and private golf courses in the Baltimore-DC metropolitan area. Rachel was intimately involved in the construction of the golf course and membership marketing efforts for a new private club, as well as various marketing efforts for both the daily fee and semi-private courses.
Rachel is the mother of three young boys and enjoys spending her free time with her family during the summer months on their powerboat and jet ski. Rachel, her husband and oldest son are avid skiers and are in the process of teaching the other two boys how to ski.

Kristin Lehman
Associate Appraiser
Kristin Lehman joined the firm in March 1999 as an assistant appraiser. She has been involved in over 200 appraisal and consulting assignments in 30 states, which have included daily fee, municipal, semi-private, and private golf course properties; ski area properties; water parks; residential developments; office projects; retail properties; industrial properties; and hospitality properties. Ms. Lehman has been a Pennsylvania certified general appraiser since 2004 and a licensed real estate agent since 2000.
Ms. Lehman is an active member of the Westover Women's Club, a local social/service organization that concentrates on providing financial aid to local families in need. She has served as president, treasurer, newsletter editor, and has headed various fundraising and social committees within the group. Kristin enjoys skiing, hiking, and reading, as well as spending time with her husband and three children.

Brenda Acker
Office Manager
Ms. Acker has over 20 years experience in human resources and office administration. In 2009, she became employed with Golf Property Analysts as our research assistant.
Prior to joining Golf Property Analysts, Ms. Acker was Operations Manager for Wells Fargo Insurance Services.
Outside of the office, Ms. Acker enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering within her local community. Ms. Acker plays competitive golf and maintains a single digit handicap.
